Welcome to Self-Pickup.com! If you're a trailer owner looking to rent out your trailer or a renter in need of a trailer for your transportation needs, you're in the right place. Before proceeding, please carefully read the terms of our third-party rental agreement. By using Self-Pickup.com, you agree to abide by these terms.
Agreement between Owner and Renter:
Self-Pickup.com serves as a platform for connecting trailer owners (hereinafter referred to as "Owners") with individuals seeking to rent trailers (hereinafter referred to as "Renters"). Any agreements made for the rental of trailers are solely between the Owner and Renter. Self-Pickup.com is not a party to these agreements and assumes no liability for any issues arising from the rental transaction.
Payment Terms:
- Owners set the rental price for their trailers, basic insurance to cover owner only, and roadworthiness documents in compliance to the country of service or other additional services. Owners are charged 10% of rental price awarded to self-pickup.com for our platform fees.
- Renters agree to pay the rental fee through self-pickup.com and an additional fee of 13% will be charged on top of rental fee for trailer rental commission for services rendered in closed orders. Deposits are to be made directly to the Owner through the payment method specified on Self-Pickup.com by the owner. At this stage, Self-pickup.com does not offer deposit options, but if you have a complaint concerning a trailer owner, please email complaints@selfpickup.com.
- Self-Pickup.com processes all payments for trailer rentals, and any client to the owner must be processed through self-pickup.com. Payments are made on our platform between the Owner and Renter and are paid out every week as long as the payment amount succeeds $100 or the currency equivalent in the country of service.
- Owners are responsible for collecting deposit payments from renters and ensuring they are received in full and on time and refunded as soon as the rental trailer is returned.
Immunity from Liability:
Self-Pickup.com acts solely as a platform for facilitating rental transactions between Owners and Renters. We may own, operate, or maintain trailers from time to time listed on the platform. But, we are immune from liability for any damages, losses, injuries, or disputes that may arise during the rental period between a renter and owner.
Owner Responsibilities:
- Owners are responsible for accurately describing their trailers, including specifications, condition, and any limitations or restrictions.
- Owners must ensure that their trailers are safe, roadworthy, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Owners should communicate clearly with Renters regarding pickup and return instructions, as well as any additional terms or conditions.
Renter Responsibilities:
- Renters agree to use the rented trailer responsibly and in accordance with any instructions provided by the Owner.
- Renters are responsible for returning the trailer in the same condition as when it was rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
- Renters should inspect the trailer thoroughly upon pickup and report any pre-existing damage to the Owner. It is recommended to take pictures of all sides so no disputes arise.
Dispute Resolution:
In the event of any disputes between Owners and Renters, Self-Pickup.com encourages both parties to communicate openly and attempt to resolve the issue amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, Owners and Renters may pursue legal recourse through appropriate channels.
